Our
team
Linda Rombough
I bring a vast array of business and personal life experiences, as well as my training, and ongoing love of learning, and a passion for connection, to truly understand what you’re going through. I am dedicated to improving people’s lives through honesty, understanding, and individual empowerment within a safe and supportive environment.
That’s why I chose the helping profession. I understand how life transitions can be very lonely. I’m here to walk alongside you so you don’t have to be alone. Through non-judgemental conversation I’ll help promote positive shifts and experiences that will help you attain your personal goals.
I work with youth and adults, including seniors focusing on grief, loss, anxiety, and stress (including PTSD). Using a values-based, person-centered approach I help my clients understand how their past attachments & beliefs influence them today. I believe there isn’t a one-size fits all approach, so I draw on several different modalities based on my client’s needs, such as CBT, DBT, Narrative, and Mindfulness, while drawing on Solution Focused Brief Therapy with Positive Psychology Interventions when appropriate.
- Depression
- Anxiety disorder
- Body image & eating disorders
- Anger, guilt and shame
- Coping with chronic illness
- Relationships
- Parenting & Couples Therapy
- Grief & Loss
- Trauma
- Burnouts, career changes
By working together, my goal is to help you access your inner wisdom that will allow you to respond rather than react to the events and world around you, and ultimately build resilience and resources to navigate the future confidently.
Jiaqi
My name is Jiaqi and I offer therapy sessions in both English and Mandarin. As a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and trained in Gottman’s Method of Couple Therapy, I bring a wealth of experience to my practice. I hold a B.Sc. in Psychology from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
Being a 1.5 generations immigrant, my own experiences as a cultural in-between-er have motivated me to enter the mental health field. I’m passionate about advocating for and supporting first and second-and-plus-generation immigrants as well as marginalized populations. As a Buddhist, I approach therapy with compassion and an all-acceptance attitude, aiming to alleviate the inevitable suffering experienced in each stage of life.
I enjoy working with children and adults (6+) of all backgrounds, addressing a wide range of areas including anxieties (OCD, social anxiety, PTSD, etc.), depression, stress, self-esteem, trauma, cultural issues, life transitions, burnout, personal growth, emotional regulation, break-up, and relationship issues. Whatever you seek to gain from therapy, I’ll meet you where you are in the process and work together towards helping you achieve your goals. My therapy style is eclectic, allowing me to tailor my approach to best fit you during this collaborative journey. I believe in utilizing Eastern and Western modalities to help you navigate difficult situations and emotions. I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Schema Therapy.
I love working with couples too. Sometimes, perpetual issues can lead to distress and dissatisfaction, even for couples who deeply love each other. To address these challenges, I utilize the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. These approaches help regulate emotions, teach couples how to soothe one another, develop effective conflict management skills, nurture positive emotions, and strengthen friendship and intimacy. Additionally, I provide a safe and supportive environment for couples considering parting ways, allowing for clarity and closure.
I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside and support you on your path to healing and growth.
